Bogdan Theo
Retreat Chef · Functional Drinks Alchemist · Space Holder
Bogdan is a plant-based retreat chef and food experience curator devoted to creating nourishment that connects people back to nature, to each other, and to themselves. With over 17 years immersed in the rhythm of London’s hospitality scene, he now channels his craft into more intentional spaces where food becomes ritual, storytelling, and quiet transformation.
Rooted in his Romanian heritage and guided by a lifelong fascination with herbs, wild ingredients, and functional drinks, Bogdan brings a grounded yet creative approach to retreat cuisine. His cooking celebrates seasonality, biodynamic produce, and the energetic quality of ingredients — honouring the journey from soil to gut.
Beyond the kitchen, Bogdan is known for his calm, warm, and sensitive front-of-house presence and his ability to hold space for groups. His background in fashion refined his aesthetic eye, while years of collaborating with farmers, herbalists, and artisan makers shaped his respect for authenticity and craft.
Through studies in nutrition, foraging, and authentic relating practices, he has developed a style of hospitality that feels both deeply personal and quietly elevating. For Bogdan, preparing food and drinks is an act of care and connection — a reminder that true nourishment is not only physical, but emotional and communal.
He believes the most powerful ingredient is intention, and that meals shared in presence can become moments of healing, joy, and belonging.
During the retreat, he’ll guide you through hands-on workshops, sharing recipes and techniques. Expect bold flavours, creativity and laughter
Emily Gilchrist
I am a mother, yoga teacher, energy healer, mindfulness coach, fun-loving, creative, and cheeky catalyst for transformation and positive change.
I am devoted to the path of creating sacred, safe, loving and nurturing spaces where people can come, unravel, and be free to show up without apology, exactly as they are. I believe in being authentic and sharing the imperfect, perfect truth of who I am and life, so we can learn to truly accept and embrace the whole of who we all are.
How it began
I became involved in the art of healing over 20 years ago after my own personal journey in Yoga had started.
Yoga found me at a crucial turning point in my life back in 2001 while living in India. It was my own trauma and being left with little confidence in myself and who I was that got me on the mat! It didn’t take long before I noticed the profound benefits Yoga had started to have on my overall state of mind and well-being, I soon found myself on the way to the ashram in south India, embarking on my first TTC, where the course of my path would change forever! I left knowing it was my mission to share this medicine wherever my heart led me.
